במסגרת ביצוע פיילוט של משרד התחבורה לתחבורה ציבורית בינעירונית נגישה עבור אנשים המתניידים בכיסאות גלגלים.
בוצעה בחינה שתכליתה מציאת הקווים הרלוונטיים לתיעדוף בביצוע ההנגשה בהם.
נעשה איסוף, סינון וניתוח נתונים על ידי מערכות GIS לתכנון תחבורה ציבורית.

The Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law was enacted in 1998 with the goal of ensuring their equal participation in society. Section 19 of the Law refers to public transportation accessibility regulations, intended to address the needs of passengers with disabilities.

Pursuant to this section, the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility of Public Transportation) Regulations, 5763-2003, were established.
